We believe that
chemical dependency is a chronic illness, and that effective treatment
must address all areas of the individual's life.
We believe that
this illness is progressive and will continue to cause problems if left
untreated.
We believe that families, and others close to the
dependent person, have been affected by this illness, and they, too, can
benefit by participation in the treatment process.
We believe that
recovery begins in a caring, supportive environment where individuals are
treated with dignity, respect, and understanding.
We believe that,
in many ways, women in recovery have special needs that if not addressed
in treatment may not only prevent the woman from acheiving lasting
sobriety but will also prevent her from achieving a sense of self-worth
and value as an individual.
We believe the most effective approach is holistic treatment that
addresses the physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and
vocational needs of women.
